"D" is for Dad!

It is that time of year when we set apart some time to celebrate the Fathers in our life. Fathers are usually the providers of the family and take on the role of protector, craftsman, head driver and BBQ cook. The Fathers role is to make sure the family prospers and is free from harm.

If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him! Matthew 7:11

We have a Father in Heaven who has taken on that same role. He has been our provider, our protector and has provided for us a victory over death and a path forward to eternal life. He created us through His Son to be for Him. To enjoy all life has to offer and to experience love and joy and happiness.

But we have chosen our own path. One that has led to pain and sorrow and destruction. If we would only turn back to the Father and embrace His way, our lives would be so much better. Our way has not led to abundance or protection. Our way has not been an easy path nor has our efforts been able to defeat death.

So we must let go of our way and embrace His. If we would just let go of our own desires and ways of doing things and let God fill us and direct us, we would finally find true happiness.

The steps of a man are ordered by the LORD who takes delight in his journey. The LORD directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. The steps of a man are ordered by the LORD who takes delight in his journey. The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. Psalms 37:23

Our dad's have always had our back. They have saved us, instructed us and given us a roof over our head and food in our belies. So too is our Father in Heaven who wants to provide for us and insure our safety.

Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Matthew 6:26

This weekend as you sing praises to your father, take some time to sing praises to your true Father. Let go of your foolish, selfish ways and let Him truly direct your path. Let Him fill you with His Spirit so that you may become a light in the world for others to follow. Let His ways become your ways and become perfect like He is perfect.

Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy Holy Name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Thy will be done in me! Amen!

And that is the Whole Truth!

May God truly bless you in your walk with Him.

And remember, God always answers His kneemail.
